Eid Al Adha

We spent Eid Al Adha, the Muslim holiday where people sacrifice sheep, in a little Berber village a few miles south of Marrakesh. This tradition has existed for centuries; Muslims world over celebrate it once a year.

The first holiday of December is a Muslim festivity, known as Eid al Adha, or the day of sacrifice. Many Muslims start this day by heading to the mosque for prayer and reflection. After that, the fun begins.
