Equal Pay Day is held on a different date each year, on whatever day represents how far into the year a woman must work to earn the same pay as a man earned, on average, in the previous year.

American women are mad as hell, and we're not going to take it anymore. It's time to close the loopholes, level the playing field and end the outrageous cost of being a woman. It's time to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act and once and for all have equal pay for equal work.

The serious wage gap, combined with pay secrecy policies, means that many women are not only being paid less than their male co-workers, but they have no way of knowing it. And if they don't know it, they can't fight it. Thankfully, this Equal Pay Day, we can do something to change that.
