There is a reason why Winston Churchill said, "There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man." He knew something about the equine species that many of us are just learning now.
These, as one of the oldest breeds of horse alive, also remind us that there is beauty in nature worth nurturing, and a true partnership to be had, if we allow ourselves the profundity of such a relationship.
The vast majority of these are worthy and noble endeavors, showing veterans their service is appreciated. And yet, far too many veterans struggle with the transition to civilian life. With all these organizations offering help, how can this be?
