Is your year on track? If not -- now is a wonderful time to course correct a little and re-evaluate the goals you set for yourself in January. What inspired you to write them? Go back to that place and sit with them awhile. Forgive yourself if you are not where you hoped to be and remember, it is never, ever, ever too late to still go for what it is that you want and to follow your dreams.
If you're doing any formal exercise at all, you're okay by me. You're already doing infinitely better than the legions of sedentary folks out there who are, unaccountably, blind and deaf to the avalanche of studies, books, TV shows, websites, et al, that have been telling us for decades that moving is good for you.
Even in the most difficult circumstances, we can focus on a single moment that provides a reason to be joyful. As you become aware of the moment by being more mindful, you begin to connect with your inner self, and this helps to energize your soul with essential nourishment to counterbalance any negative emotions that you may be feeling.
