Scott McClellan: White House Fed Fox News Talking Points
For those of you not as politically savvy as FoxNews viewers, here's the technical way talking points work: The Bush White House told Fox News what to say and Fox News said it.

The final piece to the puzzle may well be adding Clinton's populist economic message to Obama's call for "change we can believe in."
Short of saying that Barack wants to sleep with your daughter, O'Reilly used just about every button meant to alarm his white fans to the fact that a President Obama could set off race-laced fireworks.

Brett Farve, after three years of playing the NFL's Hamlet -- each new off-season brought reruns of "to play or not to play" -- finally retired. But now he's stumbling to come back.
I give the New York Times extra credit for not publishing the McCain piece. The op-ed might have sold some extra papers, but it would have definitely not been up to the standards of the paper.
Today's "Right Wing World" from The Stephanie Miller Show brings us several Republican talking heads attempting to spin why Obama's current overseas t...
I believe that people in every corner of the country and of all political stripes would react with an equal level of disgust when we hear remarks of the sort that Liz Trotter made on FOX News.
You have a foolish, self-promoting pastor or you have an out of touch, let-them-eat cake, arrogant advisor and official surrogate and spokesperson who insults Americans. Which is worse?
An "O'Reilly Factor" producer cornered PBS's Bill Moyers at a conference on media reform this weekend, leading Moyers to demand an unedited interview about Iraq. Angry journalists piled on.
Coulter's job is to inject into the Republican echo chamber racist words that would be unacceptable anywhere else, and she's now given away the far Right's anti-Obama strategy.
Nas not only has a penchant for headline-making titles, his ability to condense complex topics into manageable sound bytes without losing their depth of discussion is unmatched.
I thought that eventually I would be numbed to the sensory assault of the channel, but you don't get used to it -- it just drives you nuts. It's like your television is trying to attack you.

Objectification is not the same as admiration. It is just a sad attempt for anatomical standing ovations. You are an anchor woman for goodness sake.
Even if you've already seen this film, viewing Outfoxed again now will cast an even harsher light on the damage done by this channel.

sounds like there may be some truth to the John Edwards "Two Americas" philosophy.
This story has too many factual details to be untrue, but, let's face it, Edwards is a hunk, a man, a politician, wealthy, and often on the road alone. Is anyone surprised? I really do think it's time to stop dwelling on everyone's sexuality. Those who say "if a man will lie to his wife about an affair, he'll lie about anything" must be living on a different planet. There aren't very many men who tell their wives the truth about their infidelity, and the statistics on infidelity are soaring. So...if we want men in public office who will tell truth when they are unfaithful, or men who are never unfaithful, we are going to have to resort to women in charge because you just aren't going to find men who meet that standard unless they're comatose. Speaking of comatose...was that the problem with Jimmy Carter, and now George W. Bush, both of whom appear to have been faithful to their wives but lied like hell about all the important things.
I just have one question (across the board - be it Dems or Repugs)....why can't men "keep it zipped up" in deference to their significant others?
Humanity is capable of a lot of different sexual strategies but fundamentally - men maximize their genetic potential by finding a lot of partners and women by finding stable partners. There is an area of overlap in their interests and also obviously an area of conflict. We certainly aren't all reason, rationality and altruism. Millionaire high profile politicians are just a niche or two away from prancing rock stars in their motivations. It doesn't mean they are insincere in their good intentions, just flawed and human.
I have no idea if any of this tabloid story is true.
It's interesting that the PUMA website is condemning the Edwardses over this unconfirmed story, while ignoring the infidelity in the Clinton marriage. But they trash every single Democrat except Hillary, like good Rush LImbaugh sheep, er, soldiers should.
I condem no body until they lie under oath. There comes a time when the jig is up. However, no laws have been broke and even though I dislike his message; this his between him and his family and not our business.
