There are lessons to be learned inside its pages but it is not a preachy story in any sense. It is simply a story of people faced with bad events, rising above them to carry on with the help of God's grace.
Each of these communities brought its own sense of sacredness and grace to me as I continue to mourn my mother's death and celebrate her life. I have learned a great deal about what it feels like to be cared for.
Most people think acceptance has something to do with liking your circumstances. In truth, acceptance merely means recognizing the obvious, cooperating with the reality of it, and finding ways to move forward in spite of the situation.
