Grassroots Obama

I didn't know about the Obama-Rama Tour until I went to park my car last Friday night and saw a giant projection of hip-hop superstar Will.I.Am's music video "Yes We Can" playing on the side of a skyscraper downtown.

These local political dialogues provide a platform and space for voters and politicians to solve problems, ideally without "sound bites and finger pointing."

"Our effort is to reach out and make contact with those people who will support Barack Obama as their canidate. We're not concerned with what the other parties are doing -- on the volunteer level, that's really not on us."

I was excitedly telling everyone that I was running to be an Obama delegate from California to the Democratic National Convention, until the campaign cut me and 900 others from the list last night.
