I recently sat in on a therapy workshop. We were asked to talk about our family motto's. This was meant to demonstrate how clients often bring their family baggage onto "the couch" with them.

I would hope that this Thanksgiving we might all pause to do more than say thanks, but instead be the grateful selves that can fuel and inform a new way of being in our lives.
