The successful recall of two Colorado state senators due to a campaign spearheaded by the National Rifle Association and other gun rights organizations sent a shockwave through Colorado that reverberated across the entire nation.
State Sen. Greg Brophy said yesterday on conservative radio that recent wildfires may have been started by terrorists and that "the Governor and Democrats" have left Colorado vulnerable to terrorist attacks due to their failure to spend millions of dollars on air tankers to fight forest fires.
You'd think KHOW's Peter Boyles, who's probably the leading birther talk-show host in America, would at least stop and say 'thank you' when a state senator tips his hat to Boyles' relentless efforts to expose President Obama's Social Security number as belonging to another man.
During the campaign, Republicans argued that restrictions on abortion and women's health should be accepted as religious freedoms, not a war on women. Sen. Greg Brophy's comments leave me thinking he won't back away from the election rhetoric.
