Why do we care about grammar so much? Of course, it can be valuable to guarantee clarity and bring a level of order and elegance into the language. But beyond that, why does it matter?

Losing the points didn't bother me. It was grammar for the sake of grammar! Despite the sound and fury, I was masochistically ecstatic to be fighting in the name of beneficial English conventions.

The true beauty of assigned reading is that it forces us to go out of our comfort zones. It allows us hear about different cultures and times, keeping our minds open to new opinions and perspectives.
