Come on, HuffPo. The danger and damage of the fires are bad enough. Using "Downtown Los Angeles" in your headline as sensationalism is not necessary. This is not really near Downtown LA.

That having been said .....

It is times like this that most people remember to acknowledge that we are all human and vulnerable to hardships in our lives.

Thank goodness we are going to have a President in office who is of the heart and mind to understand that and act accordingly.

It's time for honesty, compassion, and goodness to prevail.

My heart goes out to all those being affected in this situation .... and so many others around the world.

I'm half a mile from Van Nuys ariport, and its crazy busy now with copters and planes taking off - and for the first time, I can actually SEE the column of smoke NNW west of me.
