Top military experts and government institutions like the U.S. Department of Defense and National Intelligence Council warn that climate destabilization threatens our national security, yet global emissions just keep going up.
"This is a historic day," Commissioner Comer declared. "We've done something that no one thought we could do a year-and-a-half ago. We legalized industrial hemp and we've proven that it's an agricultural crop and not a drug."
A shipment containing 250 pounds of hemp seed destined for The Bluegrass State has successfully traversed the U.S. Customs in Chi-town, but officials in Louisville have so far refused to release the seeds due to federal law and sheer ignorance.
The hemp plant's bast fibers offer numerous manufacturing possibilities as well such as being used in textile production and in oriented hemp board panels, in making interior panels for automobiles, rope, paper and much more.
Despite being banned, a large and growing hemp industry exists in the U.S. This is because hemp is legal to import from other countries; countries smarter than us when it comes to letting their farmers cultivate hemp.
