Transitions prompt anxiety. Combinations of transitions can be simply overwhelming. Imagine what it must have been for the Israelites about to enter the land, the community they have created together barely coalescing.
I believe we all create our own vivid moments of intensity. For each of us, these moments are different; however, there is one constant, we don't have to wait for them to happen, we can create them. And when we do, we can intentionally recognize them and make the choice to chase them.
I have been thinking a great deal about what it takes for athletes to achieve what I consider to be an essential goal in all of their efforts. In doing so, I have come up with my Three Steps to Sports Success.
Once your pre-competitive routine is organized, try it out at competitions. Some things may work and others may not. In time, you'll be able to fine-tune your routine until you find the one that's most comfortable and best prepares you for competition.
