Jazz Fest has not reached the uber-hipster level of a Bonnaroo Lollapalooza Coachella, and we like it that way. But it is evolving. Chances are the kids were never going to pick up the red bean cabana shirt mantle; they'll probably come up with Jazz Fest hankie shirts or something undreamt of as yet.

The video/song "Pill" is from Edie's new self-titled solo album, which was released earlier this month. Produced by Charlie Sexton, Brickell began writing her self-titled solo album during her 2003 tour in support of Volcano.

Senator McCain's tossed off semi-proposal to "tear down the Ninth Ward" if needs be is redundant at best. The tearing down was already done by a massive federal levee failure almost three years ago.
