Both the show and I have our moments, but what gets me about The Newsroom is that it's "The News" the way a guy my age remembers it, wishes it still were and thinks it still should be -- honest, accurate, compelling and dripping with integrity.
It started when my friend Mark Braun, better known as the blues and boogie-woogie piano phenomenon Mr. B, asked me to go for a bike ride with him, or rather with him and his custom built piano-bike contraption, the Joybox Express.
Thank you, thank you, anonymous benefactor (Gary? Was that you?). How privileged we are to be privy to the uncensored inner thoughts of all these talented actors. We just had to share them with the world.
Citizen journalism has taken a front seat in the world of breaking news and we're starting to see this explored in the script. Finally, traditional media morphs into more multi-faceted reporting on Newsroom.
