Funny skit. I like Murtha.
I thought these skits were hilarious. And now... the actors playing Michelle and Barack don't look like MIchelle and Barack... but I don't think the guy who plays Mc Cain looks much like Mc Cain... or the guy playing Biden looks much like Biden. Not everyone is as fortunate as Sarah Palin to have a comedic look a like.
Neither one of these people remotely looks or sounds like Michelle or Barack Obama. He's in black face and Maya Rudolph's only qualification in playing Michelle Obama is she's half black. It looks like SNL may have darken her skin to play the role as well. Is it so hard to hire talented black performers?
I agree, this is a lame representation even by SNL's occasionally lax standards. These two people bear no resemblance to the people they seek to imitate and end up coming across as a modern day minstrel show.
I thought the varity skit was funny.

PLEASE VOTE EARLY!
Why vote early when you can vote the day of? I go in the early afternoon when it's not crowded, and I LOVE voting. It's incredibly fun, and I love doing it on vote day... I guess it's just been a tradition for me, and it just feels more exciting the day of. :) My sister, parents and I will all be going to the same precint to vote together. :) And folks, remember that both parties have good in them and love our country. Do what you can by voting for who you believe in, but in the end, make the best of the outcome. There is no use in being upset over something you can't control. :)
