Law Enforcement Against Prohibition

David Bratzer, a young, soft-spoken police officer with the Victoria (British Columbia) Police, decided to speak out against the War on Drugs. Now he's been ordered not to air his views.

The new Drug Czar: "The discussion about legalization is not a part of the president's vocabulary under any circumstances and it's not a part of mine."

The benefits of legalizing drugs are now undeniable, and everyone from Obama's most zealous supporters to former drug enforcement officials are demanding legalization be considered a valid option.

In retiring the phrase from the federal lexicon will we really be ending the "War on Drugs"? Hardly.
