Why is it that we can be "friends" with thousands on Facebook and literally find the answers to unfathomable questions, and still be searching? People today are exploring every avenue looking to add meaning and resolution to their lives.
On this one particular day, I saw something that was unintentionally broadcast, a flaw in the message, an undercover revelation. I witnessed a crack in the invisible something.
I left the church long ago and save a few masses here and there, but I don't think I'll ever go back to Catholicism. I experience that as a loss. And it's a painful one.
We all have beliefs that give us some sense of security; that make sense of the world and offer a code for life. Sometimes a loss deeply challenges those notions, leading to a crisis of belief.
