The latest update from the Pellicano jury room is that the jury deliberations are proving to be as confusing as the actual case.

After a six year investigation, the F.B.I. spent the weekend scrambling to prevent a mistrial. I have exclusively reviewed the evidence they gathered.

Right now, we're busy listening to a parade of former colleagues of Mr. Arneson's who are testifying to what a.) what a good officer he was and b.) ho...

The day started off with a not-so-surprising announcement. While the other defense attorneys struggled to keep on their game faces, Mr. Pellicano announced his intention to testify in his own defense.

The jury will not get to hear any testimony from Mr. Fields on anything related to Mr. Pellicano's alleged wiretapping on behalf of many of Mr. Fields' clients.

Seemingly still pumped from destroying Mr. Arneson's credibility on the stand, Mr. Saunders made the mistake of loudly telling Mr. Hummel that he was ...

Mr. Saunders showed exhibit after exhibit of runs Mr. Arneson had made for Mr. Pellicano involving Anita Busch, Bernard Weinraub, Jude Green, Keith Carradine and just about everyone else.

So, the Judge wasn't buying it... She said that she was willing to give a curative instruction to the jury about this whole matter, but that there would be no mistrial.

The Judge, who seemed ready to pluck out her own eyeballs at the stupidity of the government not turning over this evidence and who has been reading motions on this case around the clock, also wasn't happy with Mr. Hummel.

Bert Fields is sitting across the room with his attorney, Brian Sun, as well as a pack of other attorneys who are simultaneously laughing at all of Bert's jokes.

"You were paid to investigate crimes and your salary was paid by the people of Los Angeles," pointed out Mr. Saunders. But instead, Saunders added, you were busy spending hours looking up people for Mr. Pellicano.

Mr. Arneson checked the security on some homes of Pellicano's famous clients- including Nicholas Cage... In very juicy testimony, Arneson testified about how Pellicano assisted investigating prostitution rings.

After Keith Carradine split with his wife in 2000, bad things started happening to him. Not only did he find himself in the middle of a nasty, contentious divorce, his ex-wife started dating Anthony Pellicano.

Mr. Hummel established that there were several other LAPD officers who conducted database inquiries on Anita Busch as well as on Kissandra Cohen, an attorney Mr. Pellicano is alleged to have wiretapped.

Detective Helen Lim testified that she was asked by the F.B.I. to check to see if Mr. Arneson had run a variety of different names over the course of her investigation, including former New York Times reporter Anita Busch.
