The title is probably an exaggeration. I most likely will live in the United States again. Statistically, very few expats live out their lives in a foreign country. Most, eventually, find their way back to the land of their birth. So let me just say that these are the top three reasons that I can't imagine leaving Italy... today.

'Are you going home, or leaving home?' she asked, as she sat down in the seat next to me. My mind was miles away, (about 11,000 to be exact) studying the outline of the Wasatch Mountains from the view of the airplane window. Spanning almost 160 miles, they are the western most tip of the greater Rocky Mountains, and have served as the background scenery to most of the events in my life.

I'd felt something here I hadn't felt in a very long time, JOY! And I wanted to feel more of it. Now, let's agree on something here. There's no logical reason for a middle-aged woman, of Danish ancestry, born and raised in Utah, to think she belongs in Italy.
