I'm all for drama and action. I watch NeNe and company because they provide a healthy amount of both drama and action. Whether it's Kandi concerned about her mother or Kenya instigating an insignificant argument whatever Real Housewives of Atlanta is, it is not dull.
The cast members of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, unlike their counterparts on other reality shows (I'm looking at you Kardashians!) seem less concerned with the meta-narrative of their show that tends to overshadow what they are actually doing in their lives.
A handful of bold, brilliant women have taken the opportunity to tell middle-aged male entertainment executives what women really want. Women are tweeting, writing, acting and singing about stuff that we can actually relate to.
