We ran a campaign for change. Change comes through the efforts of citizens who sacrifice for our country, our communities, and our causes. Sometimes we will enjoy great victories and other times painful losses, but the work still calls out to us.

I believe that New Orleans deserves much better. I believe New Orleans can be a world-class city. But it must have world-class leadership.

Outside of New Orleans, progressives and liberals are excited about James Perry. But in New Orleans, the candidate seems relatively unknown.

New Orleans needs more than a new person in office; it needs a whole new style of leadership, a new direction and a fresh start.

I am the only candidate for mayor whose career has been devoted to fairness, justice, and common ground, not to politics, profit, and personal gain.
