The cacophony over what to do about public school education and when to do it and how to do it... is deafening. The disconnects have run absolutely wild.

Our state government, which once had the vision to build the Erie Canal, has fallen into such a funk of dysfunctional paralysis that it can no long perform even the most basic tasks.

Because there has been no threat to the power structure in Albany for so long, players left and right have learned to play the system, and the lawmakers have done nothing to upset the cart.
