I've just returned from Alaska, where I conducted interviews and archival research for a book on Palin, and many of those I spoke to in the Last Frontier, from across the political spectrum, noted that Palin was fixated on Obama.
Barack needs to pay attention to a base of Black voters, not to take them for granted. Black America needs to be addressed on its key issues. Forty-six percent of Black America did not vote in the last presidential race.
Speaker of the California Assembly Karen Bass, for one, has been an incredibly successful leader. Her community organizing background has made her a very pragmatic problem solver. She doesn't look for ways to polarize issues.
