Orthodox Christians will draw together Saturday evening across the country and indeed around the world to celebrate Pascha, the victory of life over death and the Feast of Feasts.
Holy Week is not a celebration of long ago events. It is the reliving of Christ's Passion and Resurrection in the present.
Bearing in mind that much of the church is already leaning in to its "Good Passover," I offer this trio of poems to wish you all a Kalo Anastasi, a very "Good Resurrection."
During Holy Week we follow the Passion, not to meditate on the violence done to Jesus nor to feel sorry for him, but to mourn our own weaknesses and sins.
