I love St. Patrick's Day. It's so inclusive. By that I mean that though it's a bona fide religious holiday, you don't need to be particularly pious to enjoy it. Wishing everyone a safe and (reasonably) responsible holiday, I present my own candidates for the top drinking movies of all time.
The Bond film franchise returns to celebrate its 50th anniversary with Skyfall. Daniel Craig is the best actor to play Bond. He is highly credible in the action sequences, while bringing depth, darkness, decency and a dry humor to the role.
Notwithstanding Colin Firth's astonishing performance, the film's genius lies in its being decidedly old-fashioned. Here is a sampling of my favorite titles which concern the venerable throne of England.
