Who do I want to be today? How do I want to make people feel about me and themselves? These are the types of questions that go through my head after I wake up each morning. The answer is always different. Some days I want to be tough or assertive, others I want to be friendly and welcoming. And what I wear plays a big part in that.

"It often seems to me that the night is much more alive and richly colored than the day," Vincent van Gogh once said about his interest in painting night scenes, which led him to create his most famous work of art, Starry Night, a year later while in a French asylum. According to Smithsonian Magazine, van Gogh's Starry Night has consistently been one of the most popular paintings at New York City's Museum of Modern Art. It shows that we as people have always had a fascination with capturing the night skies.

According to Dictionary.com, to doodle means "to waste (time) in aimless or foolish activity" or "to draw or scribble idly." But, I disagree. While doodling may take time away from our work in other parts of life, it is necessary to our creativity and enjoyment of work. Doodling enriches our lives.

With the appointment made and the date set, we piled into her used Toyota and headed to a small, hidden shop located just off the main city strip. A short time later, we emerge.
