I just watched your Youtube video where you put these "haters" on blast, saying because of them, breast cancer research just lost out on $7,000. I can't speak for all the other haters, but on behalf of this hater, GOOD.
We are more than halfway through October and pink ribbon products abound. Each year, my outrage grows over companies that put pink ribbons on absolutely anything in the name of breast cancer, and this year here they are again.
With Pinktober full steam ahead, I want to come right out and say this: Pink Stinks. I am sick and tired of the pink ribbon, Pinktober and massive amounts of pink-washing products that line the shelves year after year.
It's wrong to trivialize women. It's wrong to trivialize a deadly disease. And I have to ask would this be acceptable if we were dealing with male body parts or a man's disease? Where is the feminism in breast cancer awareness?
This year, the Breast Cancer Fund's "Prevention is Power" campaign is designed to take consumers beyond pink ribbons and toward understanding how to reduce toxic chemical exposures that are linked to the disease.
