Presbyterian Gay Clergy

The challenge for those who have formed the Evangelical Order of Presbyterians, is to find joy in being a fan of Jesus, and to discover peace in the living of a Christ-like life.

When I was ordained in 1984 I believed that gay and lesbian people could become "normal" through repentance and prayer. But in the last decade, I began to discover that God had other plans.

Scott Anderson, who because of his sexual orientation was essentially forced out of his Presbyterian church in 1990, will, this Saturday, become the first openly gay person ordained in the history of PC (USA).
