I'm not here to preach the multi-faceted pro-choice stance, but when I am taking the bus and look at this insulting ad, I feel like I am being judged for decisions I am lucky to have not ever been in the position to make.
Since the pro-lifers came up with this awesome personhood idea, I've been dating an ovum named Emily. She's a babe. Obviously, we can't have sex because that would form an embryo, which is a no-no, but we can do... um... everything else.
The way abortion was legalized in America in Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton, was needlessly sweeping and extreme. It's left us with a culture war that won't quit and turned the Republican Party into a far right fringe element dominated by religious extremists.
Instead of big government policies to ban abortions, how about big government policies aimed at preventing abortions? How about endorsing and releasing federal spending to increase childcare services for adoption?
