For investors, it's always a good idea to get out of the old and into the new. You wouldn't want to be invested in the horse and buggy when cars were invented, and you don't want to be left holding a bag of uranium when everyone else is solar gazing.
Wind, biofuel, biomass, hydro, wave power, geothermal and of course conservation: those solutions have been with us for some time. But our most precious renewable energies are commitment, foresight and imagination.
As we decide our energy future, we must decide if we are willing to have a situation like Fukushima happen here in the United States. And if the answer to that question is no, our country has no choice but to reject nuclear power.
