What brought these and others from across the globe to Israel this sunny day in October was their firm belief in a certain set of principles. Foremost among them was a belief in the oneness of man.
Stories have always held the power to change the world. Through our stories we can create a narrative that values everyone's voice and emphasizes shared values.
We cannot point to any three other religions that form so intimate a narrative relationship as do the successive revelations of monotheism -- Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
We need another name for that table where we break bread and live with our enemies, that safe and holy place of discord, where we stitch the world together, relationship by relationship.
