I get that "Revolution" isn't trying to be groundbreaking drama, but it's been most compelling when it was unpredictable. This is an interesting premise that's been established. Keep us on our toes, and we'll be more invested.

After the explosive confrontation with Monroe's helicopters, this week saw both sides regrouping and planning ahead. That meant Miles stepping up in a leadership role, after he basically slammed the current resistance leadership as a bunch of losers.

One thing a long break like this can do is help a show's creators figure out what wasn't working and fix it. What wasn't working was a boring "Revolution." The word implies battles and action and tension, but viewers just weren't getting that. It's certainly not boring anymore.
