If Natkin cooks as though someone's life depended on it, at one time, it did. The blogger and author of the new cookbook, Herbivoracious began in his teens, when his mother was in the last stages of breast cancer. She was too weak to cook, so Natkin prepared the macrobiotic food the family hoped would heal her.
