This morning I had a chance to sit and watch a glorious show at the tents in Lincoln Center in the family and friends section. Suddenly the sleep deprivation seemed worth it.

Ruffian's Fall collection was tasteful and classic with bold rich colors. The girls paraded down the runway in gorgeous Christian Louboutin boots that I fell in love with.

While not exactly a rags-to-riches tale (since no one could ever imagine designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais in rags, for goodness sake), the story behind the emergence of New York City-based fashion house Ruffian is evidence that the American dream is still alive and kicking.
