An ultra-runner missing for three days has been found in the Cleveland National Forest, but authorities are still searching for his partner.

A maintenance worker at a private retreat and camp spotted 53-year-old Fidel Diaz on Wednesday morning in Orange County.

Diaz told investigators he and 36-year-old Maria Natera-Armenta ran out of water Sunday afternoon during a 30-mile run and split up to search for more.

He says he never saw her again.

Sheriff's officials are obtaining a search warrant for Diaz's car and are questioning him.
