Everything out of Bush's mouth concerning oil drilling, oil prices, oil anything should be treated as what it is, a message from the oil companies.
Unlike McCain, who keeps recycling President Bush's bravado of catching "Bin Laden dead or alive," Obama, to his credit, has articulated his Afghanistan strategy more clearly.
Just in case Scott McClellan wasn't keeping count, the Center for Public Integrity was: at least 935 falsehoods told by the president and his aides in the runup to the war.
Tough day today. We had to put down our 14 year old yellow lab, Vanilla. I treated her better than a dog the past few days. It made me think about ho...
James Baker has joined his nemesis in recommending a stunning new piece of federal legislation -- a law designed to rein in future presidents who want to go to war half-cocked.
How many times are we going to have a key Bush administration official try to wash the blood off his hands -- and add a chunk of change to his bank account -- by writing a come-clean book years after the fact instead of when it actually could have made a difference? Read More Unmasking McCain: His Reactionary Record on Reproductive Rights Many women who are avowed Hillary Clinton supporters are declaring they won't vote for Obama in the fall. I get the anger and the disappointment. But to quote SNL's Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers: Really? You'd rather vote for a man who has a 25-year history of voting against a woman's right to choose? Wolf's Lair, Prussia, July 21, 1944 -- "This isn't the Claus von Stauffenberg I knew," said puzzled SS Reichsfuhrer Himmler about today's unsuccessful assassination attempt, echoing sentiments heard across the Nazi high command.
Never before have high level executive officials refused to even appear before Congress when properly summoned by the legislative branch. It is now the time for Democrats to breathe fire.
How open-minded can Bill O'Reilly be if he thinks McClellan doing TV interviews is the equivalent of doing nothing while watching a friend get gang raped?
Those who belittle McClellan for being a day late and a dollar short are missing the point. However faint his whistle, that he blew it at all showed growth on the part of a man trained as a parrot.
So far there is no apparent desire for redemption driving the press to report on the treachery of senior officials. Instead, the mainstream press has compounded its complicity by giving the Bush administration yet another free pass and shifting blame.
The result of the White House spin, and the complicity of the press corp. in it, has been the deaths of more than 4,000 U.S. servicemen and women and tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians.
McClellan's excuse of "I was just doing my job" is no more a valid defense now than it was at Nuremberg -- and I don't remember anyone there being sentenced to a lucrative book deal.
Considering the faces on either end, and paired with the lunacy coming out of the Oval Office, this is what betrayal looks like.

Way to go, Dave!
David Letterman hits the nail on the head. Thanks for saying what we are all thinking. He forgot to add one thing we are also thinking. That is that they would find it impossible to spend their money while locked away in a federal prison after conviction for treason and crimes against humanity.
Pretty brainless stuff.
Which is why it plays well with the brainless.
When these two GOONS leave office
the floodgates will open
the stories we will hear will make Scotty's sound like praise!!!
The MSM is only now beginning to get a little tougher on the administration because this party is almost over. To ask the tough questions earlier would have meant not getting invites to the sleepovers.
