There are lots of reasons us singles are "still" single -- ranging from "because I want to be" to "I'm a raving sociopath." But after a tremendous amount of thought, I have come to the conclusion that for most of us somewhere in the middle, the explanations are pure BS.
I should be living in the real world of romance after divorce, where relationships irreparably fall apart and loving someone new isn't such a sure thing. Watching these movies has become such a part of my past at this point, clinging to them now feels a bit desperate.
Nora Ephron was never really a celebrity to me so much as she was a dream weaver. I grew up watching her films in my living room. They fed my youthful appetites for romance and humor. Most of all, these films shaped my dreams of love.
Her brilliant artistic voice will be incredibly missed but more importantly... that voice will remain forever. Thanks Nora Ephron. For making the world a funnier, happier, sweeter, and more romantic place.
