During the address I could not help but to be positively affected by all the infectious smiles from both sides of the aisle -- in particular both President Obama's and Vice President Biden's smiles.

Herein lies the key to becoming a more trusting, more unified society: Practice. We will need to exercise our brains to approach each other with openness to connection.
