Andrew Niccol's film of The Host starts so well that, when it suddenly slows to a crawl 20 minutes later, your impulse is to give it some slack -- to let it find its feet and get back on track.
Unfortunately, it never does.
It does appear to many that anything Timberlake touches carries a little something called Midas Magic. For the most part, it's true. He's exceptionally successful in nearly every venture and here's why.
Justin Timberlake was, as always, a great "SNL" host and seems to actually be enjoying every minute he's on screen -- which was a lot, considering that Timberlake, including his musical performances, appeared in all but two segments last night.
