McCain Would Raise Energy Bills for Ohio and all America
What happens when your country is 50% dependent on coal, and you foolishly adopt McCain's energy and climate plans. Your electricity rates and bills will soar, for several reasons.

The major flaw in Freddoso's book is that there is no historical context. He makes no attempt to explain to readers how American politics produced the Obama phenomenon in the first place.
Obama's discipline and control on the campaign, while always impressive, are now growing tedious for some voters and losing their impact for others, but he cannot afford to abandon this discipline.
You know Democrats are in trouble when the only two-term Democratic president since F.D.R. is reduced to stating he's "not a racist."
McCain's technology policy history isn't simply one of being oblivious. It would be actively harmful to our economy and our standing in the world because it would chill competition and innovation.
The high road would be great if it didn't lead us to defeat every 2 or 4 years. The high road would be great if it helped us win. Guess what, it doesn't.
Obama has the opportunity to bring nuance to politics by leading a reform of affirmative action, because there is no agreement on what it is, or even on what its purpose should be.
Since his speech in March, Obama has been effectively and consciously redefining racial politics. He can consolidate his "brand" by addressing race openly, as he has already done in the past.
After eight years trapped aboard this dark ride, finally hearing a presidential candidate publicly and forcefully refer to the Republicans as ignorant liars ought to be enough to coax even the most indecisive leaner into the Obama column.
While Washington Post columnist Chris Cillizza has positioned Bayh at the top of the heap for a few weeks now, after getting tips and making some logical conclusions the choice is obvious. Why?
Now, Toby Keith has trained his sights on Barack Obama, attacking him in language that startled even the notoriously reactionary radio jock Glenn Beck.
The McCain camp knows that the only way they can win the election is to turn it into a carnival sideshow. If this is where they have taken the political discourse in early August, what have they got for us come October?
Obama has his work cut out for him. He must find a way to combat McCain's so far successful campaign of character assassination or risk losing the election.
Despite the McCain campaign's effectiveness, the best campaign against Barack Obama is not being run by his opponent, but by Barack Obama.
Is there is an antidote to what has come and what lies ahead in the racial minefield of the 2008 election? I believe there is, but it runs against the instincts of most Democratic consultants.
There is a simple fact that has eluded Democrats in every presidential campaign they have lost in the last 40 years: you have to focus first and foremost not on a litany of "issues" but on four stories.

I live in one of the few Republican counties in Oregon, and everywhere you look you see Obama signs and bumper stickers.I have yet to see any visible support for McCain. Johnny Mac is a shabby politician with a shabby campaign. All he can do is poke fun at his opponent. It is really pathetic. At this point, the Obama proxies should be using McCain's tactics against him. Point out his weaknesses, which are legion, and harp on them endlessly. The American people, even the ignorant ones, should have no doubt what a bad president McCain will be.
You can draw a line from McCain to Bush to Nixon regarding dirty election tricks.
