This week a new study finds that children who are pushed, grabbed, shoved, slapped or hit by a parent, or other adult in their household, are more likely to suffer from mood disorders, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug abuse/dependence, and several personality disorders as adults.
As I began to see the benefits of mindfulness meditation in my life, I wondered if it might also help my two young children. I shared simple mindfulness practices with them and was amazed at what I saw.
