I wish Judge Porteous well. If he has committed neither treason nor bribery nor a high crime or misdemeanor, he should not retain his judgeship. But he just filed a dumb lawsuit.

This appears to be the year of impeachment. So far, a State Governor (Rod Blagojavitch) and a Federal Judge (Samuel Kent) have been gotten rid of this way, and it appears there might actually be more.

Federal Judges get away with almost anything. Sam Kent for example, would have been convicted of rape but instead took a plea deal where he only served 33 months in jail, and he got to keep his salary.
