Time Management

As I was scanning a long list that I was adding to endlessly, I realized, "I'll never get it all done. That's probably just fine. But this endless list and this feeling of being completely scheduled...it's not working right now."

There's an old Gestalt theorem: the way out is through. Defining what we could do, and what we are doing right now instead is a lot of what our work needs to be these days.

I often get this question/pushback as I'm teaching: "All this personal productivity methodology sounds fine and good, but what about all those interruptions that plague me during my day?"

You're the one that's weird in thinking "work" and "personal" are different things. In the history of the planet only in the last dozen decades have people assumed these were different, and I don't imagine that farmers or most craftspeople ever have.
