True Blood has always and probably will always have a socio-political agenda. For these "anti-vampire white trash," the face of Obama himself has become the "big bad" who is to be feared for the devastation and chaos he will surely leave in his wake.
I jinxed myself when I hoped that "True Blood" would keep up the pace that it presented ever so nicely last week. But there were still enough highlights and WTF moments to keep the episode afloat, if only barely.
Turning history's most pivotal players and storied icons into modern era styled super-beings cannot be a "one off" experience. There are far too many to choose from and far too many powers with which to pair them.
I'm not completely sold on this season of "True Blood" just yet. So far, not too much has happened, and, on par with the last couple seasons, some plots are so extraneous that I can't find myself caring about them.
We "chicks" have munched our popcorn while romantic comedies became just comedies. So, ladies, we have a mandate. We each have to buy a ticket to Magic Mike. The movie about the male stripper with that guy from The Vow.
Stabler is in the house. Christopher Meloni made his first "True Blood" appearance as Roman, a member of the vampire Authority, in the second episode of Season 5 this week. Relive the best moments in a GIF slideshow.
