Rather than volunteer, I wanted to try something different -- an event that would showcase an issue. One that would raise money, and, ultimately, would bring more people together to grow our budding community.
It seems that every Internet writer over the age of 25 has his or her own list of attained wisdom. Having recently turned a quarter of a century old myself, and coming off of a cross-country move from San Francisco to Boston, I thought I would add my own to the mix.
As of Tuesday, I've been around for a quarter-century. I can no longer claim to be in my "early 20s." And I'm pretty sure I can glimpse 30 just over the horizon (or maybe that's just nearly-30 HuffPost Women Editor Margaret Wheeler Johnson, sitting at the desk next to me).
If you are 25 or turning 25: It's OK that you have not gone to grad school. It's also OK if you're thinking of going. And many may not agree with me, but I think it's OK to apply to grad school because you still haven't found a job in this economy.
