I wasn't a perfect match for anything other than rehab, and that didn't come until years later. These guys would soon figure that out. If not on the first date, then definitely by the second or third. Then, on to the next one.
What are we achieving when we constantly strive for perfection? In some ways we actually create a loss of freedom; we have less time and make more excuses for why we are unable to reach certain goals or enjoy life at all. This is a one-way ticket to avoidance.
What I like most about making vision boards for New Year's is that a vision board is just that -- it's stopping to take some time to visualize what you'd like to accomplish in the coming year. I'm not sure why, but it somehow holds less pressure than New Year's resolutions.
This practice is about mental and spiritual mastery, or controlling your thoughts in order to be effective and confident. Whatever is blocking you or weighing on you now is the same that will impede your path in the new year. So please, take some time to do this writing exercise.
