It's one thing to rip baseball fans in general for some of these behaviors, quite another to use only one fan base as a sample and then pen a national column ripping that fan base as the worst in baseball. Particularly when that fan base is your own.
Never until this season have I actually followed a team as closely as I have this Nats team -- hanging on every win or loss, every injury, every lineup change, every single pitch. It's that feeling that is so unique.
As long as we can't turn on cable news without hearing our president, our representatives (if we had any) or our neighbor-who's-also-a-pundit crap on Washington, it's nice to have something to change the channel to. There hasn't been a brighter day for a D.C. sports fan in many administrations.
