We are each different, and the way we choose to Thrive can also vary. There were so many takeaways from the Thrive conference, but, for me, what resonated is how "connected" we all are. This inhibits thinking and seeing the forest from the trees.
We will not come into our own authentic power as grace-filled human beings until we first are able to give ourselves to others. Perhaps, we would not have to live through such great tragedies if we opened our hearts with love the way God intended.

In my life as a TV boss, I had an abundance of power -- or that's what people thought I had. That's what they wanted to meet me for. Of course, all I had was an image of power in their heads, nothing more. Real power is rooted somewhere much deeper.
If you have a clearly identified passion that already fits well with the rest of your life, grit seems likely to work in your favor. For the rest of us, though, the answer is less clear. We may first need to spend some time understanding our own definition of success.
