I am more comfortable in my own skin, calmer about the challenges I face and able to function better in my relationships in my personal and professional life. I also look a hell of a lot better because I have more money than I did at 20!
At 45 you still don't ever understand it all, but there is an acceptance of how this whole life thing works. You are quicker to say I'm sorry, slower to linger in spaces that feed you, and generally liberated from 80 percent of the shoulda-woulda-couldas that dominated your 30s.
Rather than being hooked on Botox, plastic surgery or crying my eyes out now that I'm growing older, I thought of putting together, in some sort of an introspective journey, the lessons life taught me thus far, especially in the past five years.
I would rather keep trying for the life I want and falling down awkwardly sometimes then trying to control every part of my world around me and end up freaking out every time things don't go as planned.
